Was wondering if what I am having pre/ post workout was enough or relevant and if there were any ways you would change this. Im currently on a lower carb/ higher fat diet that seems to suit me fine energy wise, I also work nights and train in the morning after work and usually get to bed about 2 hours after my post workout meal, in case thats relevant:

    Pre Workout

Basically I have about half a can of coconut milk (200ml) about an hour before, 7.5g amino acids (a 40/40/20 mix of EAA/BCAA/Leucine) and a coffee maybe half an hour before with 3 thermopure caps.

    Post Workout

shake with 1 scoop MP True Whey, another 7.5g amino acid blend, 5g creatine, mixed in water about 20 mins after the gym then generally a decent meal around an hour later, usually consisting of meat and veg (am hoping to invest in a slow cooker and start making a stew/ soup style post workout meal I can freeze in portions and heat up as needed), and some berries with double cream later

I also have some vit C powder a friend gave me and also have got some bioflavanoid powder and grape seed extract from MP and was wondering if these could be added to my pre or post workout shake or taken at other times during the day? And if there are any other things you would add or take away from the above let me know. Also, how do you guys dish your antioxidant style powders out, with such a tiny dosage do you just guess and take a tiny amount or is there some sure fire way of measuring out 100mg of each powder?

Thanks again guys for any help with this.

If you've got enough energy to get the training session done then you're doing something right, especially after a night shift.

I would however, try to not rely on stims especially combined with working shifts. You'll end up burning the candle at both ends and probably end up feeling ill/run down or in my case picking up glandular fever.l

As for your PWO shakes/meals looks good also

In all honesty im looking to add some more cardio to my routine as I have way too much energy since I started low carbing

On a side note, can I mix up my vit C powder and bioflavonoid powder and just dish the mix out a gramme at a time couple of times a day or better to keep em seperate til you actually use em?

    Thanks again Gareth
