I'm a wee bit Off topic here... but wanted to get my 2pence worth in
I don't personally like the word normal when applied to more than one person... I feel that words such as "
typical", "ordinary", "
average"
[average being dependant upon which mathematical method is used of course... mean, median, modal group etc. etc.], etc. are more fitting if someone/anyone is speaking about practices & habits of the general population (or when talking about mainstream advice e.g. "GPs typically recommend XYZ for relief of cold symptoms"). I feel able to use the word "Normal" when talking about what is "Normal" for me... as I know with a fair amount of certainty what I am like.
