    Hey LH,

I sort of planned on that trying diet for a few weeks and see whether I'm up or down, that's part of the reason I decided just to go with a mainstream diet of 3000kcal ets at least I have something to aim for and then as you say can tweak it as required. Thanks for the input! What do you mean about tracking ups and downs?

I don't personally like the word normal when applied to more than one person... I feel that words such as "typical", "ordinary", "average" [average being dependant upon which mathematical method is used of course... mean, median, modal group etc. etc.], etc. are more fitting if someone/anyone is speaking about practices & habits of the general population (or when talking about mainstream advice e.g. "GPs typically recommend XYZ for relief of cold symptoms"). I feel able to use the word "Normal" when talking about what is "Normal" for me... as I know with a fair amount of certainty what I am like.
Agree, LH. I tend to put 'quotes' round the word 'normal' when I use it and I only use it because it often appears in the medical literature!
