I'm trying to lose weight before bulking up and was wondering if the MP Max meal replacement shakes are classed as a light meal.

It does say it has low GI carbs - but at 35 Im not sure if its too much carb.

Also, whats the latest time in the day that you can down one of these? Due to work - My sleep cycle is typically from 1am to 6am. And I have just started to do a 40 minute cardio and then a 15kg hi rep 20 minute dumbell session at about 9pm.

Thanks for any thoughts on this.

It would really depend on the rest of your diet. If you're replacing a meal with the MRP would the meal normally have been higher carbs/calories? See what I mean? If you eat exactly as before but replace 1 meal with 1 MRP then if the MRP has less cals than the meal, you will be taking in less overall cals. I don't think you'd see much difference though, unless you were having it instead of loads of junk. 35g of carbs isn't a lot in one meal IMO. I think you could have it any time of day.
Use MP12808 when placing an order please. ta. :-)

    Thanks for your reply.

And, yeah - I am using it as a temporary diet meal substitue, and my typical lunch would be a bag of washed dark green salad, and a smoked mackeral (the type you get in shrink wrap.

For dinner I'd have a huge plate of vegies (green beans, carrots, baby sweetcorn, asparagas(probably the wrong spelling) and maybe some spicey rice or fish of some kind (Im a pescatarian - fish eating vegie )

Im thinking of sticking to a shake in the morning, and at lunch - then a small to reasonable whole food based meal at dinner time.

    Nope - 5ft 8 - Just over 183lbs.

The weight is currently falling off me though (although according to the scales yesterday I gained 41lb's since last measure), 3 people today have commented without me even mentioning anything.

Hmm, well if the weight is falling off whatever you are doing is working. ie. your losing weight before bulking which is what you want. However, I would have thought that some will be muscle. I also wouldn't have thought you could keep up such a low cal diet for too long before it stops shifting fat...but I haven't worked out the cals, it just doesn't sound like a lot to me.
