    Hello All,

I have started the Velocity Diet today, I am taking my protein Whey as my supplements. I didn't know my protein sold Total Protein which is similar to {the one recomended on} the original diet by T nation.

Will I have the same affects using Whey protein as opposed to using Total Protein which contains Micellar Casein apparently it keeps you fuller for longer.

I've done lots of research and I am considering buying some total protein to use on the diet instead.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Chris

Get the blend. I mucked around with my own version of the v-diet early last year. I got ripped up but also lost way too much muscle. I was using whey only. Make sure you have all the other supps aswell and do it as prescribed if you do it at all. Hold off till then.

Here's how my plan looks so far....

    Breakfast

    Protein Shake (400ml of water)
2 x table spoons Milled Flaxseed
    1 multi vitamin
    1 Fibre Tablet
    1 Fish oil Tablet

    Mid Morning
    Protein Shake (400ml of water)

    Lunch

    Protein Shake (400ml of water)

    Mid- Afternoon

    Protein Shake (400ml of water)

    Dinner

    Protein Shake (400ml of water)
2 x table spoons Milled Flaxseed
    1 scoop of peanut butter
    1 Fibre Tablet
    1 Fish oil Tablet

    Bedtime

like i said in the previous thread you can just buy some milk protein and add it to it (as you said you have 5kg of whey) no point wasting it!

also take stuff like HMB (1.5-2.0g 3times a day, morn-lunch-night) this will stop you losing some muscle (its not a miracle supp though lol)
if you want 5% off first order, use the code... MP53975
if you don't use the code... MP53975

    What is HMB?

--Stronglikewood-- Would you recommend this after a bulk, as I know you've done it before with success..Sorry to hijack.

    Hmb - Health and wellness | myprotein.co.uk
it's Beta-hydroxy beta-methylbutyrate (hence the HMB name lol)

it's good for preventing muscle breakdown, and is good at doing so, have between 1.5-2.0g 3times a day, some people hate the taste (so there is tabs) but i don't find most supps to taste of much

Nice, I'll consider some for my cut when it comes round, if it's as good as you say!

HMB or the V-diet? I wouldn't do the v-diet after a bulk. If I were to ever do it or something similar again, I would do it as a plateau buster for fatloss, not as a my main fatloss diet. Perhaps at the end.

HMB? It helps with holding on to mass when you diet, so I would recommend it.

To pacific81- Aslong as you mix the whey with casein then that's fine. Just don't go whey alone.

I would agree with using more conventional methods for fat loss first and hitting the v-diet after to really cut up.

I've been cutting on a low carb diet for the last 6 weeks, lost almost a stone while maintaining or increasing strength.

Got 2 weeks left and if still not happy a further 2 week v diet should get me where I want to be.

There's plenty of info here on dos and donts of lo carbing to cut up, check them out and good luck!
