PSMF diet - Protein-Sparing Modified Fast. Thoughts?
what do u think about it?
i was scheduling to do it for a brief period (1-2 w.) after have finished CKD, so to take advantage of the fat/ketone metabolism.

i would like to know if someone have followed this diet and if it works (so -muscle less, + fat oxidation), and any advice on training and on the diet itself.

It works. You have to accept it low calorie, high protein and low everything else though. Hence the fat loss is generated by the caloric defecit so don't go mad on the activity and don't do it for too long. If you do this do low intensity cardio only and limit yourself to 2 maintenance full body workouts per week on the diet.

what about muscle loss?
Did a modified version with a little more calories from carbs and fat. Muscle loss was minimal with the stated protein level, reistance training and not going ott on cardio. Log onto the forum and have a look at the rfl logs for more detail.
I did a PSMF EOD protocol, did PSMF on my off days and did a carb up on w/o days, doing it this way you can manage it a bit longer. So on off days calories are set at 8X weight in lbs then on w/o days maintenance calories.
I did this
Mon, Wed, Fri / maint/maint+500
Tue, Thurs, Sat, Sun / 8Xbodyweight
Works well, especially for the more inactive people (desk workers etc)
