had a SUPERSIZED double angry whopper meal
that burger is just crazy, its like an XL bacon double cheeseburger but with onion rings, tomato, lettuce, jalapinos, mayo, ketcup and cheese
was absolutely incredible tbh:

u can barely open your mouth wide enough
anyway i had my normal food intake on tuesday as well as this burger king
if you have read my other threads you will know that i was beginning to fail on squats at around 50kg, and on monday i completed 5x5 with 55kg but i was so so close to not getting the weight up several times and i was scared of putting any more weight on
fast foward to wednesday after my bk binge and i put 57.5kg on the bar, and i complete 5x5 like it was nothing, well it was hard and i was working but at no stage was i fearing that i wouldnt be able to get the weight back up
so my question is do you think the extra calories i got from this burger king, sped up my recovery massively?

You gave in to temptation - temptation was your body's signal to tell you it needs more energy and raw materials to achieve the physiological adaptations to exercise. By listening to the signal and giving your body what it needed, it allowed it to optimally adapt and increase its ability to cope with the extra demand of the exercise. I hope you threw away the burger bun and didn't have the fries with that?!

Who would supersize their burger and leave the fries?!!
Me! Though I probably wouldn't buy a take-out burger anyway!

Lighten up a little, jeez, one burger a week won't kill you!
Or maybe you just watched an advert on tv and thought "gee that looks tasty", I am fairly sure that the mind is just as if not more influential than the body! Lack of kcals my ****!

An extra 500 Kcal of burger on a 2500 Kcal a day diet gives you less than 3% extra calories a week or an extra 70 Kcal to the daily average.
That won't make much difference at all in a week, especially if you believe the 2nd law of thermodynamics is more applicable than the 1st to calorie consumption.
Maybe there was some classic burger-based combo of processed fat, protein, sugar, and salt that gave you an extra out 30 Newtons out of the bottom of the squat. Goddam i think you're on to something here! I think you should write the "Squats and Whopper" plan.
