    Hi,

    Which is better?

I know a lot of people complain about the taste of pea protien but is that the only difference?

What about the quality/amount of protien is the pea protien as good as whey protien?

read reviews and the product descriptions, the taste of pea protein is alot to be desired by most, however if you can down CEE or BCAA your good to go, personally whey is the most favourable.

Try both and decide for yourself.

Given the right amount of physical exercise you'll grow using both. The rest is all hair-splitting to be quite frank.

For me taste determines the issue.

My take: use both. Whey works in sweet mixtures (think strawberry milkshakes), whereas pea works in savoury (think vegetable soup).

The only possible issue with pea protein might be a less favourable amino profile, given that it comes from plant sources rather than animal.

    Thanks guys,

I really couldn't care less about the taste. I'm just interested in the capacity of the protein to build muscle. Is whey protein preferred for this?

    Hair-splitting.

    You'll grow on both. Honestly!

to have all the time peptopro khris? waste of money/you don't need THAT quick acting all the time!
good for PWO/intra-workout shakes, otherwise whey is perfect (or even milk protein)

    Again, thanks guys.

@Kris, actually, price is a bit of an issue for me too...

I notice that the pea protein is an isolate, but the similarly priced whey powder is not. Does that make a difference? (er..whats isolate mean?)

well in terms of whey isolate, the isolate is taking the lactose out (so isolating the whey)

i guess in the pea form it must be taking a similarly fat product!
