I have read a few articles about fructose and how it doesn't restore muscle glycogen. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this, and what they think.

Bull. Fructose will enter the bloodstream eventually as glucose like any other carbohydrate, and will get into muscle. However, there are perhaps some other specific problems with fructose, but i think they'd only occur in large doses http://www.myprotein.co.uk/forum/sho...light=fructose

It has to be converted in the liver to glucose, so it's not gonna be used as quickly as pure glucose but afaik it will still restore muscle glycogen.........otherwise a fruit bat wouldn't exist.

Point well made - although i dont know what else a fruit bat has in its diet (if anything else) that would contribute to its muscle glycogen

I think these articles are basically that fructose will restore liver glycogen more preferentially.
