    Hi All,

Any suggestions for a weight loss diet? I am 6ft 4 and currently weigh 211 pounds. I want to lose another 15 pounds. Ive not been sticking to a diet just cutting down on foods, but recently been cutting the gym short due to feeling tired and having a lack of energy.
Im currently training in the gym 4 times a week. Doing a mixture of CV and weights.
Any ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

It might help if you list a typical day's food first, then people can make suggestions

A lack of energy may suggest your not eating enough! As JaG said post up your diet.

honestly that is very little information...post up some details.

But if you're lacking intensity in the gym you're cutting your calories too low.

If you are feeling tired and cutting sessions short maybe you need to have a rest more than cutting?

I'm far from an expert but cutting out carbs, drinking green tea, eating more good fats and omega 3 / cod liver oil are all good suggestions.....sorry if this is really obvious!! I've also heard that pickles are good for fat loss too. Cardio is also key to losing weight and try do HIIT instead of steady state if you are feeling tired in the gym.

I'm sure you'll get far better advice from everyone else.....will be interested in hearing what they say too as i'm 6'4" and could do with losing a few pounds too!!

Im currently eating on a daily basis:

    8am - 1 - 2 apples
10am - Cheese Spread Sandwhich (2 slices of seeded batch)
1pm - Cheese Spread Sandwhich (2 slices of seeded batch) again, 1 - 2 apples
7pm - 30g Protein shake after gym (with water)
8pm - Dinner. Depends what the wife cooks. Im just cuttng down my portion sizes.

I eat dinner after my gym session.
Now i've written down what i eat i am not surprised im tired, and i am in need of help.
I want to burn fat but at the same time try and build a bit of lean muscle.

How did you get to be so big with a diet like that?!?!!? I'd have expected you to be a lot lighter than 211 pounds......I guess the positive is that you may be genetically gifted and put muscle on easily.

That diet has got more problems than Gordon Brown

Is that how you have always eaten or is that what you imagine a healthy diet to look like?

For a start, it's not enough calories. I weigh 140lb and I eat more than you do.

It's a pretty poor diet, lacking in protein, complex carbs, healthy fats, fruit and veggies - your 5 a day should come from a range of fruits and vegetables, not 4 or 5 of the same fruit.
