    All of them?

Was just wondering if any of them were the kind of meds that interfere with hormones and the like. My gf had one of those stop-your-period injections for a condition she has, and although it helped with the condition, it messed up her hormones, especially the thyroid, resulting in weight gain and now she has to take thyroxin to balance it out.

Well I've read that some people have got hypothyroidism (or whatever it's called) because of them. Did the thyroxin make the weight come off again?

It has helped a lot. She was exercising non-stop and losing weight, then the weight loss just stopped. For about two months, exercising 4 or 5 times per week, bodyweight circuits and cardio mainly but without losing even a pound. The thyroxin got her over this plateau and into the steady weight loss zone.

I have heard of thyroxin abuse causing hypothyroidism in bodybuilders, but not heard the same when it's taken in normal doses as a treatment for the condition.

Sounds exactly what has happened to me. Not that I'm diagnosing myself with a thyroid problem, but I know there's something up. I just hate going to the doctor :S

This study seems to suggest the deadly sweetner scare is bogus:

I know what you mean, but a simple blood test would tell you a lot.
