    Gaining weight whilst NOT adding any further bodyfat is doable (this IS technically 'losing' fat whilst gaining lean mass as your BF percentage will do down), even if by 'not adding fat' you are actually adding such a small amount, which when factored in against muscle gains, will equate to the same bf percentage.

    I don't see how it can technically be losing fat at all? If you have 'x' amount of fat at the start and 'x' amount of fat at the end, then you have not lost any fat, just achieved a better muscle to fat ratio.

    Exactly! So in theory, it is a loss of fat, in a roundabout way, however as you say, physically it is not.
