I'm sick everytime i take a protein shake. My stomach just can't handle them.

If i were to stop taking protein shakes, what would my diet need to be like to mimic taking two shakes a day? Or is there anything else i can try other than the shakes?

    Cheers

Not wanting to give a silly answer but Protein.
    So meats, diary etc.

But firstly, do you need the shakes? If you are already getting enough protein in your diet then there is no need for the shakes

Remember supplements are just that - supplements, they are used in place of solid food for ease, quickness etc. Foods of animal origin have the most protein - meat, fish, poultry, eggs, and milk-based foods. Beans and legumes have a significant amount of protein, soybeans and soybean products and lentils, split peas and whole dried peas. Starches and vegetables have a small amount of protein, but it adds up over the course of a day.
    MIX THOUGHLY BEFORE USE

Cheers guys. I weigh 166 pounds so will need about 166 g of protein a day i gather.

If i eat say a tin of tuna at morning snack time like 11, then thats around 35g already. Which i guess could be the same as taking a shake ?

true. i think a shake is a little less than 30g. but if you are looking to put weight on then look at add milk, cheese, cream, all the foods that p0stscript mentions above

Another two to add to the list for high calorie is pecans/walnuts and dry cured meats like Salami and a polish Sausage you can find in supermarkets called "Kabanos" which is great for the calorie count (and tastier then salami).

Try a different protein that isn't whey, some people aren't very tolerant of whey/dairy in general and it gives bloat/nausea. For some people (me) it can wear off and you get used to it. Pea protein or one of the other alternatives offered might be worth a try if you are looking to supplement your diet with more protein on top of an already decent whole food diet, most people find that solves the issue.

I get nausea when I take on too much protein in the day - sometimes creatine can compound the problems.

This might sound convenient but I don't get bloating or nausea with MP Impact Whey but I do with other 'fizzier' powders.
