I think you are over thinking a lot...
Fasting is just that, fasting; I take vitamins and fish oil with first meal of the day. The only supplements you should ever need in the fasted period are caffeine, fat burning herbs or BCAA.
What opinions does everyone have on supplementation during the fasting period? Take them anyway without food, with the next available meal, or just skip them?
I suppose it depends on wether you decide if 'fasting' means 'no calories'. Even tea and coffee have a small handfull of calories.
For example IMO, I would definitely keep all fat-soluble supplements for avaiable meals, such as fish oil. as in theory taking fish oil for instance would only trigger the body to use the fat as a fuel source rather than inflammation control. Yay? Nay? Some vitamins and minerals can have a significant effect on various aspects of metabolism too - So does that mean it interfers with the goals of IF?
