    Hi,

I am not the most knowledgable when it comes to the scientific side of training. I have now been training for around a year (I am 22, if that matters) and when it comes to supplements, I get advice of people in my gym but now I am starting to think that I am using too many supplements as I believe that being young my body would create enough of most nutrients/substances required.

    Currently using:

    Multi Vitamins
Omega 3/6/9 Capsules (All in one)
    Glutamine
    ZMA
    BCAA Capsules

Pre training igniter/creatine - pre workout pump products
Protein - Hurricane XS / Impact Whey Isolate

Am I using too many? Should I stop using any?

    Thank You

Supplements are there to supplement a diet. If you obtain all nutrients from your food then there is no problem. Look at your diet and see if you already intake the required nutrients from food.

It is advisable though to use omega 3 and a good multi vit (alpha men) to basically keep the tanks topped.

Glutamine is usually a good choice for a number of reasons that are covered many times on this board.

Personally I would not bother with the BCAA's

unless you compete in a sport, then you dont need that much supplements. omega 3 and mulit vit is all you need really.

if they are giving you benefits and you can afford them carry on.

Be objective with the things you're taking and ensure they are actually doing something.

First of all sorry for mentioning competitor product names. No I don't really compete in any sports. I play football for a team, does that count? Although, I don't really take part in any competition, I am trying to get into the best shape of my life/best I can be.

    @SpiderDan

Money is not an issue. I'm just trying to ensure that I make optimal gains. As long as the supplements work, I am more than happy to pay for them. Your right, I will make sure to monitor gains.

Dont worry too much about optimal, just make gains.

One idea would be when you run out of one of the supplements dont buy it again for a month and see if you notice any difference, if not, then its probably not worth having.

Looks all good to me. I use all of them apart from the glutamine, but I take a couple of others as well.
