I'm beginning to take Leangains seriously now. After tinkering with the IF calculator I have over the last week started tracking my macros and matching them according to whether it is a rest day or a workout day. Protein I am keeping at 1g/lb bodyweight daily. On workout days I am keeping fat under 50g with the rest being carbs. On rest days my carbs are low with protein and fat dominating, but is there a figure I should be keeping carbs under?

My wife is highly sceptical that eating 100+ grams of fat on a rest day can lead to anything other weight gain, and not in a good way. Help me prove her wrong gents!

Depends if you are cutting on lean gaining?
When I was cutting I initially kept carbs below 100g on rest days, but then in the last 6 weeks (below 10% BF) I reduced carbs to below 50g.
On training days, hit the right macros for protein and fat (under 50g as you say) and then make up the REST with carbs. Predominantly post-workout that is.

Put it this way, I eat over 100g easily every day and I dropped from 20st to 12st over the course of a year or so.

People need to realise that fat, A: will NOT make you fat and B: has driven human evolution for millions of years.

People think fat makes them fat is because 1g fat = 9cal and 1g carb/protein = 4cal therefore general thinking is more fat = more cals = more fat gain - sorry, doesn't work this way!

Just because some **** doctors 40-50 years ago told the masses saturated fat was bad...everyone believes it, the sooner that bull**** dies the better!

Say to her 'wouldn't it make sense that the only way you put on more fat is by eating more calories than you burn? That's how it works"

Keeps it nice and simple, in a way they might understand.
