    Hi Guys,

After reading over the forum recently i have discoverd alot of people seem to be going on about IF.

Now from just what ive read on the forum, i take it that basically you eat within an 8 hour window and the rest of the time you are in a fasted state.

Soo.... What makes me think i might of accidently adopted this system is that i generally dont eat when i wake untill atleast 3-4 hours later or untill i have had a workout, other than tea or coffee that is. Now the resaon i did that was for the same reason you would do fasted am cardio, to use the fuel in the body, not from an instant food source.

Usually, i wake at 6am ish, Eat at 10am, eat at 1pm, *3pm workout*, eat at 4.30pm and also 7pm.

What i eat is usually is a typical high pro, low carb set up and i workout monday to Thursday for an hour total, 30 cardio / 30 resistance, and play squash on a friday. I also re-feed on a saturday - General Increase of Clean Kcal, with a cheat meal at lunch.

My goal is to generally lose BF% and maintain muscle.

So would you think that this set up is IF, or do you need to striclty apply yourself to call it an IF set up.

Any advice / tips are apprciated.

    Gaz

    Are you fasting?

    Are you doing it intermittently?

If you answer yes to both you are intermittent fasting. The 16/8 leans gains protocol is just one way of doing it.....its not the only way.

if your plan is working then stick with it. If not change it.

Well, there's a lot of calculating your macros as well, making sure you are eating the correct amounts of carbs, fats and protein, then adjusting it to suit your goal and then applying the adjustments as necessary, i.e -20% on rest days, -10% exercise days (just an example, not real figures). Try this link for all that information. http://rippedbody.jp/2011/10/23/how-...ngains-macros/
