  1. Default This time I'm really going to cut!

Last time I thought about cutting I posted a provisional diet up here then changed my mind and decided to bulk instead! I'm 5'10'', currently 12 stone 5 pounds, and around 14-15% bf.

I want to drop back to about 10% bf. Whilst bulking I completely stopped running and I really miss it, so I'm going to reintroduce it. I'm planning on longer low intensity sessions (~40 minutes) first thing in the morning (i.e. before breakfast) on 6 days a week, with training looking something like this:

    Monday - push (all compound)
    Tuesday - pull (all compound)
    Wednesday - rest
    Thursday - legs
    Friday - arms
    Saturday - rest
    Sunday - rest

Here's the diet I've got in mind:

    7:00 am:
    2 kiwi fruits
    30 g blueberries
    1 slice pineapple
    40 g whey in water
    Black coffee (needed!)

    10:00 am:
    30 g cashews
    1/2 tub quark

    1:00 pm:
    180 g tuna
    Wholemeal pita
    1/2 tomato
    Spinach

    4:00 pm
    1/2 tub quark
    4 wheatgerm crackers
    Black coffee

    7:00 pm (PWO)
    50 g whey
    40 g maltodextrin

    8:00 pm
Salmon, cod, chicken or lean beef
    Lots of vegetables

    10:30 pm
    300 ml skimmed milk

Bearing in mind that I'm not looking to be competitive, I just want to be very lean, how does that look to you guys?

Replace the fruit in morning with oats, put the fruit in with post workout.
Get some more good oils in there, would add a few cals but tbh it's prob slightly too low as it is.

Nothing at all. But you do need something more than fruit even if on a cut. So have the oats and your fruit

oats = low GI, complex carbohydrate
fruit = medium/high simple carbs. in the morning this generally leads to fat gains

Rubbish. Total calories consumed minus total calories expended = a calorie surplus leads to fat gains not consuming fruit in the morning

i think simple sugars may encourage fat storage at times, but fuit which is high in fiber an natural sugar (fructose) which isnt very high GI generally, will not cause fat storage in the morning.definitly have some oats in there aswell tho!

You know full well that the human body could not survive in the long run solely on consuming fat. Come on Tom you can do better than that.

Maybe I should have been a little more specific and said
