Yes, but we should not be eating so many carbs as to do this, if you're eating carbs then the glucose will go to refilling glycogen and for general metaboic processes thus leaving the fat to be stored as fat. I'm not saying it doesnt happen, but its a lot less of an issue than people think.

I REALLY REALLY want u guys to read Game-Over by Chuck Rudolph whos CSO over at scivation in the USA. he released a book (which i got a free copy) and it basicly outlines a cut diet for bodybuilders. its basicly 18 weeks of what to do and his methods at low carb, moderate fat, high protein. and most importantly no post exercise shake or insulin spike. its really an interesting read as it basicly supposts what is going around these day (high fat, no high gi, controlling insulin etc etc)

I have not read anything to suggest a paleo diet has to be low CHO. I have just set up a cyclical carb paleo diet where all of my CHO is from fruit and veg, and it wasnt difficult. Low GI fruits and veg in the morning, and high GI fruit after training (honey, tropical fruit, date syrup). I have chosen a paleo-type diet for health reasons (my digestive system doesnt handle processed food, beans, or grains very well), which i have modified to be also geared towards sport performance.
Good for you mate! Sounds awesome!

Isnt it the anabolic diet that is 'anti-carbs' not the paleo diet anyway......

I definately think moderate carbs is the best way to go but they are just so darn tastey

Paul - high fat in relation to the typical bb contest diet.
moderate fat in relation to the diet.

For example it gives u a rough guide as to how much you should eat depending on how much u should weight. so if u are going for 3500kcals then you take it from 350g protein 150g carb and 165g fat.

was a bit misleading i admit.

i really wanna send this book out so people can read it, martin want me to post it to you cos i think u will find it the most interesting. it has bits from layne norton and derek charliebois aswell!
