The whole insulin spike theory PWO is a debate that will go on and on.

Like may theories in bodybuilding there is no scientific proof behind it.

Myself I take dextrose and whey as a PWO. That is the only time I use dextrose in my diet.

However it is not written in stone that it is necessary. Depending on who you listen to and what you read you 'should' or 'should not' have something to give that spike after training.

Drink on....whatever your drink may be

Therefore my point was that as we are creating these very unique physiological states through training, sound nutrition is NOT what we need. We need hyper nutrition, i.e. MORE protein and......,

The Case In Point: an insulin spike to take our body out of the very catabolic state we put it in by training hard. We need it to achieve our out of the ordinary goal of building some muscle.
yeah guess i got the wrong end of it, but still DRvs recommend 2500 calories a day for men, i dont believe this is neccessary for all ppl. For example, a few ppl are overweight in engalnd and USA. I know few of them follow DRVs but better goverment advice surely would help the situation
