When is the best time to take shakes? I train in the morning before breakfast and I am always starving when I finish. Normally I would have scrambled eggs, 2 slices of brown toast and coffee. Is this a good start to the day?

You might benefit from a shake before you train. Oats and Whey would be good.

You breakfast would be fine for after your workout. Might be worth having a banana or 2 with you to eat straight after your workout. This will help replenish glycogen and keep the hunger pangs at bay until your scrambled eggs are ready.

I generally get up and go straight to the gym, I would be warming up within an hour. My goal is to lose bodyfat and I thought training before breakfast was great for fat burning?

and more muscle burning = lower metabolism = gain fat easier.

you can do low intensity cardio before breakfast, which is good for fat burning (whilst sparing lean tissue).

burning lean tissue will not only make you look terrible in the long run, but is pretty unhealthy overall.

cant you train any other time no? in the evening?
30g whey 60g oats and a few plums before your workout in the morning wouldnt need long to digest, maybe half an hour. even some whey and fruit would be better than nothing.
