Just wondering if any of you have run into this too - basically I get a lot of comments on how the changes I am making to my body are not feminine and why do I want to look like a man?

Obviously the people making these comments don't understand what we are doing but I was wondering if you guys have things that you say that help people to "get" it, as I don't seem to get anywhere. I have a feeling I will get a lot of this soon as I am going home for Xmas and everyone there last saw me as a big fat blaught 2 years and ~20kgs ago.

"Nothing in the world is more dangerous than a sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity"

    -Martin Luther King.

Do not attempt to justify why you live your life the way you do. No one in my family except my nan understands what I do and why I do it. The members of my family aspire towards mediocrity; and it is simply not possible to convince someone with this mindset.

Put the energy you would use in trying to educate people; into your gym work. You just waste calories talking.

You learn to to ignore it/ let it go over your head. A lot of my family don't understand/like what I do or look like, but I'm doing this for me not them. if anyone says something negative , I simply say, that I like the way I look and feel and that's all that is important, no need to do anymore explaining, it's a waste of time.

What is better; being a fat and unhealthy woman, or being an in-shape, physically advanced woman?

I think we all know the answer to that one.

embrace the haters. they are obviously jealous of your desire and drive to succeed. its just natural of the weak to try and pull you down to their level.

my share of haters come from the work place as i rarely join them on the work socials. my response to them? i'm out there winning titles, whilst there in there getting fat. i would like to be able to play and run with my kids when i'm older without gassing out after a few steps.

    Haters gon' hate!!

Seriously though, the majority of haters are just jealous of what your achieving and what you will achieve in the future.

Plus, not only will you look great but your also learning great skills - motivation, self belief, commitment.
