Rashad = most boring fighter ever?

Rashad did no damage in the entire fight. It was literally take Silva down -> let Silva up -> repeat. Hes even worse to watch than Randy Couture.

How a fighter can be judged to have won a fight without doing any damage is beyond me. The points system is broken.
Agree - and he got whooped in the last round - Silva made him look absolutely stupid.

I'd hardly call that boring. He executed his gameplan well but as he said in the post fight interview just got slack in the 3rd. He was hardly humiliated in the last either, as soon as Silva started to showboat with all his dancing it was plain to see he was horribly frustrated he was and also running out of ideas.

Daley was on top form also after a bad weightcut the day before. Shame it was a catchweight bout and he has to forfeit 10% of his purse. Still, he got the 50k KO of the night bonus which is good

Silva looked terrible, totally disagree with the comments about Rashad. Silva was ridiculously arrogant despite doing NOTHING for 2 rounds and even in the third he was mostly just sticking his head out and tagged one punch when Rashad got sloppy.

Rashad didn't let him get back up, if he had got him away from the cage he would have gone for gnp but his anti-ground game is too good. I think it was Matt Hughes who first started the whole "just stand up" defense and people have got good at it. Silva's sprawl was poor as hell which is why Rashad won on points, he was the aggressor for most of the fight and even had mount in round one. Should Rashad have stood toe to toe? I think the last round proved why not.

It's called mixed martial arts, not "stand and punch each other to decide the winner" although there is another sport that deals purely in that.

I can't see it as a Rashad victory - he was close to unconscious in the 3rd, and at no point did any real damage to Silva. A draw would have been an OK decision - but Americans don't like draws.

    I'll watch it again tonight I would agree with 10-9 10-9 8-10 but not 10-9 10-9 9-10 is a bit harsh IMO.

And Rashad getting his BJJ BB seems a little odd, given his game plan was as executed - where was anything that even resembled BJJ on the ground?

Where did I say that Rashad would have a better chance toe to toe? I understand why he used those tactics but it was awful to watch. He did no damage, had no stand up, had no ground game and very nearly got knocked out but still won the fight.

Rashad's game plan was to avoid getting hurt and win on points - I paid to watch a fight not 4 takedowns and a handful of jabs. I don't blame him for exploiting the points rule but I can't see him headlining again any time soon.

Did anyone see the Bisping Wanderlei fight?

Was a pretty good fight. Wanderlei was very predictable at the end of each round. I think Bisping could have easily won if he went for a takedown to stall at the end of round 3!

Joe Stevens Vs George Stosiopsjdops (sp?) was a very good fight too.

Yeah I watched it. Bisping was lucky fight ended when it did. He was maybe 20 secs away from ref stopping it. Good match up in end. But I honestly can't stand that guy, everything about him just grinds on me. And I usually would always support the 'home' team!

I think Bisping gets lots of unwarranted hate. He just hypes up fights and people think hes being serious. So many others do it but people seem to hate on Bisping.

I think he actually won that fight, i gave him rounds 1 and 2 even with the guillotine (that Wandy was doing wrong as Rogan pointed out and wouldn't have finished him with). He clearly lost the third with the knockdown, and i agree with the above he should have tried for a takedown in the last 30 seconds of the fight to buy time.

Feel bad for CroCop, he didn't really want to fight and kill Perosh, that elbow was NASTY, the way he looked at Herb Dean was priceless though, it was like oohhh **** look at that bleed!

Was some odd reffing decisions, the guy that got the poke in the eye and the ref was like 'shut up and fight'.

Sotiropoulos v Stevens was a great fight - thought Joe was going to bitch him - pleasantly surprised with that fight - both of them recieved $50k bonus for fight of the night.

Bisping got what he deserved really - you know Silva going to batter you coming out all guns blazing in the last 20sec as you'll struggle to finish him if you do catch him, and, that sticks in the judges minds, Bispings biggest problem is the lack of a serious ground/grappling game - excellent stand up though.
