Franklin, Wanderlei though I hate to say it has passed, like my hero Nog. Too many fights in pride and hits to the head. (But I would like them to make come-backs and dominate!)

Going back to Machida and Evans, I reckon Machida will dominate Evans.
Evans was lucky against Bisping and Machida I reckon is far superior to Bisping.

Its close but, id have to give the nod to Franklin. Though you can never count out Wanderlei, if he comes in with the old axe murderer intensity! It'll be interesting, real contrasting styles. Franklin is clean and precise, Wanderlei is just wild and crazy. Franklin is the better conditioned athlete and he has more tools than Wanderlei. As was mentioned, Wanderlei has been through serious wars, and they do seem to be catching up with him. Still, I think deep down I would like him to win, though I cant really see it. Franklin is a serious tough dude, mainly because of his sick conditioning. I dont think he gets enough credit for it, only Anderson Silva has really managed to put him away, which he did in devastating fashion, twice! lol

Franklin is coming off a razor close decision loss to Hendo, in which he was totally dominating the last round. If the fight had of gone longer, Franklin would of won. It was a real case of Hendo being quicker out of the gates on the night and scored high with takedowns, though he didnt really do a lot of damage.

One thing though, was anyone else surprised this is at 185? I know the pride fighters have sort of struggled to adjust to the UFC weight classes but Wanderlei looked in the best shape ever for the Rampage fight, he was ripped. I guess he decided its not his weight class. I was pretty sure you wouldnt see Franklin fight at 185 again though. Theres nothing for him in that weight class. Not so long as Silva is champ.

I thought it was going to be at a catch-weight of 195? Nevermind . Personally i think the fight hinges on what Wandy shows up. Will it be the former Pride/Jardine steam rollering Wandy? Or will it be the new trigger shy Wandy. Franklin is the better all around guy but i think we could see Wandy with the advantage on the feet depending if he is on it or not.

Whatever the outcome i'd really hate to see him KO'd again as that would probably break his career as he can't sustain many more.

Actually, you are right, it does seem to be 195!

Dan Hardy v Marcus Davis also on that card. Big step up for Hardy. Davis has looked really impressive in his last few fights.

The return of Caol Uno too!

Ouch, that really is a big step up for Hardy. Markham to Davis! Davis has brilliant standup and is well rounded. We know Dan can throw well; but lets hope he just gets the big punch in first before Davis eh!

I like Davis, don't really like Hardy. Davis will destroy him. Cro Cop was rumoured to be returning at UFC 99 but he's signed a new 3 fight contract with DREAM. He'll be having a rematch with Alistar Overeem in a K1 rules match. He's also rumoured to be fighting Fedor in December.

He's been rumored to fight Fedor for years now after he lost that close decision in Pride. Dissapointing he isn't comming back to the UFC and avenging his loss against that fraud Gonzaga and Kongo. Would love for him to come back to the UFC with his old striking and confidence and pick apart the HW division all the way to Lesnar.

But if we have to wait for him to stay in Dream another year so be it. Can't see much happening with the fight against Overeem though, he is just too big for CroCop.

Yeah, Overeem is a beast now. He's also been rumoured to be negotiating with the UFC lately. I doubt if he did join the UFC he'd be as dominant as he has been in Japan lately where they don't test for steroids.

Yea him and Semmy Schilt (sp?) were in talks for a while but i think its died down at the moment with UFC 100 comming up Dana's interests lie solely in that. I'm pretty confident that Overeem wouldn't freaking pass a steroids test for the UFC. The guy bulked up an insane amount in a year, i've seen comparison pictures its ridiculous!

In fact CroCop's best chance might be in a kickboxing match as it negates the clinch more than an MMA matchup. If he keeps his distance and uses his kicks well he might have an outside chance.

A re-match with Overeem? Yikes! Cro-cop looked terrible last time. They can put in whatever rules they like, he's going to lose. In the last fight he didnt even look bothered. It didnt seem like his heart was in it at all, whereas Overeem was well up for it.
