I thought this would be worth starting as it would save creating a thread for each event.

    **********************UFC 96 Spoilers*********************
Man, exciting time for UFC fans. A lot of good fights coming up!

I thought 96 was a good card. Im a big Rampage fan but, I have to say I was hoping he would lose so Machida would get the nod to fight Rashaad. I think that would of been a great match up, and I think Machida is awesome. Still, Rampage vs. Evans will be huge. They are both really well matched. Two solid wrestlers with knockout power, plus they seem to hate each other lol.

Hard to pick a winner. Rampage comes forward more but, that plays into Rashaads game more as he is a great counter puncher. Plus, coming out of Greg Jacksons camp, you know he's going to have a sick gameplan going in. From listening to him commentate on the Jardine fight, he really knows Jacksons style. It'll be a war. I really cant see it going 5 rounds, or even 3 for that matter.

Loads more to talk about too. Mir v Lesnar, Penn v Florian.... Lot of great fights coming up over the summer

I enjoyed the Rampage fight... he is still yet to really impress me in the UFC though.
Machida vs Rashaad would have been a great fight!
Who is Machida going to fight instead ?

True, his boxing has gottne much better but, ho now only seems to box, its weird. Bring back the Pride-era slams!

I dont know who Machida is going to fight actually. I really think he should of gotten the nod ahead of 'Page. He's 14-0 and undefeated in the UFC. In the end its just worse for whoever he faces for the belt. He improves each fight, and looked awesome against Silva. The light-heavyweight belt is going to go the same way as the middleweight belt, to a Brazilian who will totally dominate the division!

Well guys good news for both of you.

Machida will be facing Evans at UFC 98 due to Rampage being injured.

Really don't know who to choose between those two, both brilliant fighters but i think i'd give Evans the slightest advantage on the feet and superior wrestling but if machida gets on top its game over.

    No Way!! lol

Although, im excited about Machida fighting, after the trash talk that happened after the Jardine fight, the build up would of been hilarious! I feel bad for Rampage.

    Still, come on Machida!!

Will be a sick match up. Thing is Rashaad usually sits back and counter punches and Machida doesnt really "come forward" in the traditional sense. He seems to attack just enough to instigate a chase. Then, once his opponent is moving forward, he gets into his groove. I'll be interested to see what plan the come up with to beat Machida. If he starts trying to chase down Machida, I think he is doomed. Cant wait for this!

Their both very clever fighters, i'm picking Evans though. I think his hand speed is just slightly quicker than Lyto's and therefore can catch him. We've seen Evans out strike a few great fighters and also if he's winning the standup its not like Machida can take Evans down because of his wrestling base.

Again, im so excited about this fight. I've become more of an Evans fan over the last while. I know its weird to say of the champion but, I think he is still quite underrated.

He has got quick hands and serious knockout power but, he's never faced anyone who moves like Machida. Actually, except the people who have already faced Machida no one has faced anyone like Machida. He is almost impossible to prepare for. There is no one you can bring into your camp that will emulate his style properly. In saying that if there is one camp that can figure him out, its Greg Jacksons.

Lyoto trains with guys who can seriously bang, his team mate in Anderson Silva. I dont think he will have a problem with Rashaads power.

There wont be any need to really take Rashaad down. I mean if he is losing the standup to Evans, chances are he'll be knocked out. Machida will do what he always does, stay on the outside an pick him off. It'll be up to Rashaad to take him down. That will be interesting to see as Machida also has great submissions.

Im obviously biased but, trying to set all that aside, it's close but, I have to go with Machida. He's crazy hungry for the title too...

Yea its going to a great fight, i can't even start to imagine how annoyed Machida must be the amount of times he should have had a shot at the belt just to have been brushed aside as his style isn't great for the average UFC idiot who wants a brawl to break out.

If memory serves me correct Rashad used to be a heavyweight so he packs a damn punch, Silva is probably the best striker in the UFC but power wise i'm not sure

Counting down the days as we speak hehe.

The next event is a TUF reunion isnt it Fight night. Got Bader, Efrian (sp) and Junie fighting

Yeah, he definitely seemed to be passed over. He really wasnt that popular when he started. I think people are beginning to get what he does. To be honest I never got the fighters who are like "...im going to give the fans what the want to see". I mean, you know guys who stand and bang for the sake of an exciting fight. Seems a bit weird to me. If you are losing in the standup, take the guy down, try something else to win. Dont just stand there because thats what you think the fans want to see lol. You just end up knocked out and earn yourself a worse professional record.

Yeah, Rashaad was a heavyweight in TUF series 2. He's way better at 205 though. In fairness to him, he made the switch straight after the show. I dont think he ever properly fought in the UFC at HW.

The Fight Nights have been getting pretty good the last while. Theres a lot more talent in the UFC. Especially with WEC disbanding the bigger weight classes.

Haha, that guy Junie seems like a tool but, it did look really great at the last Fight Night. The guy certainly has talent and a lot of potential, if he can hold his head together...
