haha sorry tony i just checked the date on the thread!! lol...
Thanks for that Alza. I posted this some time ago and since then they have both been through loads of interests that have fizzled out!!
They were really interested in wresting but there are no clubs or anything local so they just batter each other (amicably!!) on the trampoline after watching WWE! It does my wife's head in, she just does not understand!

No problem mate! It's good to get new input, although in this instance new interests prevail!
How old are your boys? Mine are 10 and 12.
Krav Maga is supposed to be very good, it also focuses on defending against knife attacks etc... this is obviously a plus, considering the world will live in right now.
I have practiced various martial arts and train a lot at home and stuff... I am considering learning some Wing Chun - but I don't recommend that for kids as it is no good in a street fight, more for competitions (grappling etc).
I wouldn't suggest boxing, unless you like seeing your kids punched in the face a lot in competitions.
hi there tony my boys are 18 & 20 young men now!! but still ma boys both started kickboxing at allan was 8 & steven was 10..both have done various martial arts from kick boxing ju jitsu aikido.also some weapon training...i think they done it because i was also doing some my self it magic for all kids to do...now they are young adults they are getting more into free weights and muay thia and we also looked into krav maga also but krav maga is in glasgow...and it all adds up with all the public transport and class fees and muay thai is 5mins away and is on 3 times a week...hope you find a new sport for your lads..atb Alza
p.s i would like to say my lads dont go looking for trouble but 1 time trouble came to my oldest boy and although he tried to walk away the fight ended with 2 hits...so the lessons paid off..lol..
