    allo allo!

    How serious you wanting to get with it?

    I have trained with Guy Ramsay at caledonian university. He is a nice guy, great place to start good friendly atmosphere. Stronglikewood trains there sometimes. Caledonian Muay Thai in Glasgow - Class Times - if you go here on thursdays you may see me accross the hall at judo!

    Also Guy does it for the dinky ninjas, the leading MMA team in Scotland....start there if you want to go serious from the word go The Griphouse - MMA Gym, Glasgow - What's On

    Also theres Ricky Gillon, nice bloke although i think he is totally focussed at MMA now BATTLEFIELD GYM: MMA Glasgow, very nice gym, probably a nicer gym than the dinkys. Very focussed on conditioning.

    there are more at the Kelvin hall and dotted around....those are just the ones i have been at

    usually about £5 a sess or about £50 for a month....

    If sparring is what your after maybe skip straight to the dedicated gyms...cale uni has little/no sparring atm (they used to have it...i donno what happened)

    Get a lot of interval sprint training in. It helped me progress much faster, especially with the sparing.

    Hope this can be of some help but I'd seriously recommend investing in a Gymboss timer - they only cost about £16 incl p&p off ebay - and looking up tabata interval training. I've posted some supplemental programmes (5 weeks worth) on my website, think they might be a useful tool for you as well. Here's the link:

    <no self promotion please>

    I'll be posting more over the next few weeks please feel free to check it out!

    Cheers and good luck with your training!
