Practice your kicks more
yoooo!
I want to kick higher so I can make good headkicks.
Anyone got some stretching exercises that could help doing that?

Dynamic stretching; swing your leg in the direction of the kick as high as you can (e.g. straight up aiming for the knee to hit the shoulder for a front stretch). Obviously doing this without any consideration of the application of the technique will be pretty useless, but it makes a good warm-up and should help improve flexibility.
i found a few things to work, dynamic stretching is a main one, i usually do it every morning and before training. standing up straight keeping both legs straight, kick your leg up, starting off with a small stretch and increase height the more warmed up your legs are, then do the same side ways and backwards, if you bend at the hips, make it easier and more comfortable. obviously do this with both legs, and don't over do it. doing like 3 set of 10-20. i got this from Tom Kurtz. static stretching after weight training and your martial art training, i usually do it as a cool down, though static doesn't really relate to kicking i find it keeps me loose and helps with not aching the next day which causes stretching to be painful, other than that, after been fully warmed up and loose, actually do high kicks, start low dont over do it otherwise you could end up with a groin injury, not very fun as you will find it difficult to squat as well as kick ha, if you do pull a muscle like the groin, best way to get it to recover i found is to squat with a close stance, gets blood flowing to the muscles which increases recovery time. information from experience and what i've learnt from others.

Dynamic stretching will certainly help but to get better at kicking, you have to kick, kick, kick, kick and kick some more.
Flexibility is part of the equation, but so is leg strength and technique. You need all three to kick properly so get practicing![]()
Stretch, stretch, and more stretching until you can kick high. Then practice until it's hard like a decent kick should berunning tends to improve leg flexibility. My old trainer swore by it.
Hope this helps.![]()
