The bigger the fish, the more heavy metals and other toxins it can carry in it's flesh - unfortunately Tuna is a big fish, much bigger than salmon. Salmon also has more omega 3 in it's body than tuna - you would need to dig into a lot of a tuna's liver to get the same effect.

An apology. I should have tested this product before posting. My bad. Now I know why it's only 99p! A good 1/3 of it is bl**dy bones and it's damn difficult to get rid of them...

Is it quite tough to eat? I hate tough bits in food, but want to start getting a lot more nutrients through foods.

Its not 'tough', but it has a number of textures in it. You have the muscle meat, the small cooked bones which add a bit of a crunch, and the skin which is moist and oily. I like to empty the tin in to a bowl, add my dressing of choice, and then really mash it all together with a fork to give a more consistent texture throughout.

Again, sorry for a rebirth but I had a look at these and they look great value for money. I'm thinking of having a large (400g) can maybe 3/4 times a week, is that ok with the amount of salt in each can (4g roughly) or have I missed something that salt isn't that bad?

    Thanks
