Dr Ray Peat is a biologist and university lecturer. He has special interests in Physiological Chemistry and Physics, and also Endocrine regulation. He is also a painter and has ideas about the importance of painting for scientists in an idea called 'Painterly Science'. His site is here where you can find his Articles, Books, and Painting Ray Peat
After trying to get my head round Ray Peat's theories and philosophies, i think Dr Peat is probably part nutter, and some part diet revolutionary. From what i gather, this is how most other writers in the global online 'Paleosphere' regard him as well. You kinda get mixed feelings of "oh dear, what a loon" with "hmm this guy could be onto something" when you read his stuff. Danny Roddy describes him [to paraphrase] as that loveable eccentric grandad re-telling his sounds-unbeleivable-but-could-be-true war stories to his grandkids, which i quite like.
Reading his stuff directly makes it quite difficult to get your head round an overall paradigm of his dietary approach in laymans terms.
However, Danny Roddy has done quite a good job on his blog of condensing Peat's dietary ideas in a concise and Cliff Notes manner.
