Hi, just sayin hello to everyone.
Im Paul, im 20 and Im currently studying a Sports Science and Injury Management Degree at Truro, Cornwall.
I've been flirting with training for a number of years but have never taken it seriously (I dont think I have stuck to a proper training regime for any time over 6 months?!)
But, I have recently found some kind of motivation from somewhere to do it properly and stick to it - (although I havent started yet! Waiting for when I go back to Uni) so any help from you guys with your knowledge and experience would be hugely grateful.
Im about 6ft 3 and weigh something like close to 14 stone last time I looked?! Im looking to just beef up a bit and generally create a healthier, better looking physique.
Ive bought CEE, Taurine and some dextrose from MyProtein (Cant get over the prices - keep it up MP!) and some whey from somewhere else.
Any advice, guidance or tips on anything from you, the more experienced people out there, would be awesome!

    Cheers

Welcome to the forums Paul. Take a look at the articles on MP's main page, that should give you a good starting point (under 'Your Goals' menu).

    Cheers chaps.
Started my training yesterday, bad DOMS but guessing that will subside when I get back into the swing of things!
Heres a few things about my training & diet and stuff.
My goal is to pack on some slabs of muscle by the end of the year Im Not too worried about being lean just yet, but dont fancy getting too fat either!!!

    Training:

    3 Day split
(pretty vague for now until I sort myself out properly and see where I am)
MON - CHEST & BACK in the gym (Is this too much for one day???)
    TUES - Football training
WES - LEGS in the gym
    THURS - Off
FRI - SHOULDERS & ARMS at home
    SAT - Football match
    SUN - Off

Will this work??? Saw it somewhere on the net. Ideally I want to train MON, WEDS and FRI because these are pretty much the only days I can train!!!

    Diet:

Breakfast - Normally some kind of cereal and some yoghurt and a high strength multi-vitamin
    Brunch - Protein Shake
Lunch - Wholemeal sandwiches (some kind of meat in them) crisps and some fruit. Oh, & taurine and cee non workout days.
    Afternoon - Protein shake
Tea - Normally something pasta based with a bit of meat thrown in. Usually quite healthy and hearty
    Evening - Protein shake

    Workout nutrition:
    Pre -
Taurine, a bit of cee and protein
    During -
    Water
    Post -
    Protein, dextrose, cee

With all of the above mentioned, am I missing anything??? What would you suggest???
I will post some pics of myself when I sort my camera out so I can show you all where I am starting from, and will post again in a months time to see where I am then.
Looking at the other guys who have done this, it looks great motivation!!!

    Thanks
