    Hey guys
just thought id say hi. Been reading on here from time to time for a while now and thought its about time i should get on here proper.

Been training bout a month now, little bit ltd to I can do coz of dodgy right wrist i.e cant do bench press at mo coz wrist wont bend that way but have a fairly varied work out none the less. really enjoying it at moment. Think my main stumbling block is goona be diet. Have busy work life witha young family. usual excuses i s'pose but really trying to cut the crap out. Too many carbs I think. I'm 5'8", 13.5 stone, bit stocky but bit chunky also Will get some start photos on here soon so i can keep progress.

seen a few threads mentioning a 5x5 routine, could somebody explain this to me? Id really appreciate it.

    Anyway great site and forum.

    cheers

Hey Joe welcome to the forum. The 5x5 is StrongLifts 5×5 Beginner Strength Training Program | StrongLifts.com

I started training by using that program and I recommend it. It teachs you great technique and even though it may start off really light and easy, you will soon be lifting a decent amount of weight and feeling great.

tried a few of the 5x5 bits, because i was worried wouldnt be able to do it coz of a dodgy wrist. I was mainly worried bout the bench press but it was fine, also done some squats and have really felt it in my legs for the last 2 days, kindof a nice pain lol. Going on holiday next fridasy but goons kick straight into the 5x5 mon, wed and fri when i get back. cheers for the welcome and advice guys.
