difference between the isolate and standard whey is minimal. unless if you compete or lactose intolerant, then stick with standard whey. cheaper and does the job.

I completely understand , I find it much easier to drink shakes than eat food. when I had to increase my calories 12months ago, I started by adding extra protein shakes.

There is very little difference between impact whey and whey isolate, the amount of carbs and fat is very low in both, I wouldn't worry and just go for the impact whey.

You probably wont find many people on here who advocate avoiding fatty food. especially whole eggs/beef/dairy etc. etc.

If you wish to build muscle im afraid your going to have to eat more food theres no 2 ways about it. Very few people can gain muscle without putting on a bit of fat along the way. protein shakes are all well and good but there not going to compensate for a poor diet. Dont be afraid of fatty foods just be aware that there more calorie dense and allow for it in your overall diet

As said isolates only required if you lactose intolerent otherwise your just wasting your money. impact whey is fine. Personally i use total protein as it contains a blend of various different proteins as well as flax which is a good source of fibre and omega3. I use it more as a meal replacement with whole milk and powdered oats.

Dont get me wrong, i do eat fats! the unsaturated type. As a student nutritionist my diet is pretty good- i just cant eat eggs.

I've never reali looked into supplements before so thats mainly the advice im seeking.

I think i'll go for the standard whey then! Thanks people

Sorry to be the one to point it out... Oh and welcome by the way , saturated are king over PUFAs and MUFAs, think about omega ratios...

A little link as I only have a little bit of lunch break left and can't explain as well as on Harris' site... Archevore - Archevore Diet
