Thanks all... very nice of u ... still for me its never enough and obviously Im never satisfied...gotta keep working and improving... but with a patient attitude will come reward.. and that is especially true in bodybuilding or indeed building a good physique.
routine wise, there is no way I can advocate my training regime really as its useless to follow. for example I would never copy Ronnie coleman training regime as for me Id overtrain.
the basics are the core of all routines. If its big , ugly and uncomfortable... it WILL build muscle. Regardless if off season or 1 week out from a comp, I will still squat (5plates per side), deadlift (5plates a side) and bench (INCLINE 3 plates a side) I ensure the weight is heavy but allows me atleast 8 good reps on these lifts...In the off season I may go heavier (an extra plate per lift) but aim for 4-6 reps. Then the rest of that particular workout I emphasize higher reps , 12-15 with constant form and contractions.
My training advice would be stick with the above lifts, do one of each on different days of the week and add the remaining exercises around each one.
eg. legs day
leg ext
squat
leg press
lunges
leg curl stiff deadlifts
back day
pull downs or chins
deadlifts
bent row / seated row
one arm row
shrugs
chest day
inc bench (bar or db)
flat press
inc fly
dips - weighted
and either do delts and arms together on last day of week or spit delts from arms and train extra day... if ur overtrained take a day off, but aim to come back to training the bodypart every 7 or 8 days.
hope this helps a little?
