the guy who i train with sometimes gave me a tip when my chest was heavily lagging. pre exhaust. basically he made me warm up normally as if i was going to do bench first then put me on the chest fly (pec dec) starting with the weight super light. doing about 9 sets of 10 up to about 100kg.
he said dont do it often which is obv. because 9 sets on the flye machine is silly. but it definately works. i mean the guy is a pro.
i still dont knw his name![]()

OH yea ofcourse i have seen improvements. i have only done it twice since.. i only do it when i stall. but sometimes pre exhausting is just what you need. dont expect to lift as much after you have done it but that can also be a positive if your shoulders play hell with you like mine because of past bad form on the bench press (i used to have my arms out like a bird in flight)

I found my chest improved when i moved things around. I used to do 8 sets flat then 8 sets incline bench. I spoke to a guy whos chest is huge and he told me what he does:
4 sets on pec dec or fly machine super setted with 15 push ups, believe me your chest will feel like its going to explode after this.
4 sets incline DB press heavy.
4 sets either flat bench or decline, i tend to swap these weekly.
After that im pretty much exhaused!
