It's becoming a usual routine of me coming on for a month or so, then disappearing. I've got a handful of medical problems (migraines, aspergers, depression etc) which always seem to make me give up trying eventually, afterwards I feel too embarrassed of failing and leave again.

I have kept off the stone I lost last time I dieted back late of last year with careful eating and for the last 3 weeks I have been easing myself onto my diet again although I have had migraines for 4 days already which halted it for while.

I am determined I will slim down by my birthday this Sep, I've never made it to 3 weeks into a diet/exercise routine before, so I'm hoping I'll be able to stick to this one.

Below is what I think has improved the most in the past 3 weeks, I will post before/after pics in 3 months time but will stay active on the forums for advice.

This is an old pic but just to show what my lower leg was like

And this is a pic I took earlier today

It may not show much difference (first pic is bad quality, my bad) but if I can do this to the rest of me, I'll be a happy man.

Sorry to hear about your problems mate. I did wonder why you drifted off!

Unfortunately the symptoms you describe are all too common among "aspies" (to use a term that an acquaintance of mine uses to describe himself). Have you visited the internet place, Wrong Planet? You might get some help there.

In the meantime feel free to keep a diary or a log or whatever here. I for one will help in any way I can, just ask! Don't worry about the failure thing either, if I did everything I ever planned to do I'd be a rich man. I didn't do them, I'm not rich but I'm not going to apologise for being an idiot - its just what I am, ha ha ha!!

Take care and keep us posted!

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll be doing a log again like I did in the past, also that Wrong Planet site is awesome, so thanks for the heads up on that one.

Decided to post some pics up and not wait until 3 months is over. I think it will be better for my motivation this way.

Just a quick update, I measured myself as I'm up and can't sleep for some reason.

3 weeks into my diet/exercise and this is what I am now.

    Relaxed measurements:
    Chest - 45" (-1")
    Stomach (belly button) - 38.5" (-1.5")
    Halfway up quad - 26" (+1.5")

I am still 15s 4lbs, which baffles me but I can noticably see the difference on my upper leg and on my chest. My next pics are at the end of this month, so hopefully there will be some big differences in those. Fingers crossed!

Nice to hear that you are motivated to overcome and demolish your issues.

Have you considered physiotherapy & mental health therapy? There are many unique sources within the country that help with mental health/migraine/depressive issues through various research driven techniques.

Additionally, as you have mentioned diet can play a significant role in onset of migraines. Will have to dig up some research!

    Good luck

Thanks for your reply Canuck. I'm not sure I would have therapy though, I don't like to talk to people about my problems. I've always got by just thinking things over in my head.

I've had less headaches since I started my diet than I have done in the past. Definitely in the first week, my head was hurting from the transition between my normal food (ham/cheese sandwich, big dinner etc) to what I have now. I've still got a habit of eating shreddies whenever I feel like a snack, hopefully that will go for good when I properly sort out my sleeping patterns.

I know cheese can make a headache worse but I don't eat any of that anymore but I will look up the food I have cut out now, and see if any of that causes headaches. On Sunday (which is my day off), I had a subway, packet of crisps, cookie and a can of coke, I know it was a lot but I spread it out. I went for a nap soon after to catch up some hours of sleep, when I woke up I was on the loo for half an hour and had a bad stomach ache for the rest of the day. I'm not even sure my body can take that kind of food anymore, I know sugar is never easy to work through my system anyway.

Maybe I will just keep my shreddies for a Sunday or have a little treat on that day, whilst keeping to my shakes.
