Sorry to hear about that mate! You can see a loss of definition in the LATs however you couldnt have done anything about it. Just got to get back into it now! You'll find with muscle memory the weight should come back pretty fast.
Started training january 2010 and was making quite good progress, then around may got pneumonia and lost 2st across 3-4 months that i was out, now back to training again trying to gain back all the weight and strength i lost, really is a bit gutting to loose all the progress i made and it seems to be going so slowely getting it all back, but if i did it once then i guess i can do it again..
these pictures are from march 2010, weighing just above 12st:

Use MP211330 for 5% off your first order!
Goals for 2011/2012:
ATG squat: 200kg 10+ reps Deadlift: 200kg 10+ reps Log press: 100kg 10+ reps -> Win Britains' strongest junior.
yeah im hoping that will be the case just a bit gutting to loose it all after all the effort spent, but at least i have pics so know it can be done, like a little incentive really, think i will post more pics after another 4 weeks and then 8 weeks see what progress has been made
some more picture after 2 weeks, can see a bit of a difference especially in shoulders and back!! still work needed on re gaining mass on chest though i think, currently doing 5x5 at the minute making good pregression in stength, didnt start form emty bar as already have experience and good technique. any critisism or commennts are greatly appretiated.

Thanks for looking.
just taken new weight measurements and now i am 11st 6 (72-73kg) at 12% body fat so around 2 and a half kilos heavier than in the last pictures just above, not sure if i have gained body fat or how much because on recently got calipers, new pics will be going up next week.
now i am making steady progress is there anyway to change thread name?
In these new pictures i am 11st 9 at around 11% body fat so low in the average scale for my age, feel like progress is coming along well now lifts are definitely becoming a lot heavier, would apretaite some comments/criticism though please?

Looking good mate!
Are you sure your bf is 11%? Looks a little bit higher to me.
Great work though! Keep it up.

I'd agree with being higher than 11% bf, but IMO, what bf% you are doesn't really matter - it's just an arbitrary number so try not to get too bogged down what what bf% you are. I'd also say to leave a little longer between progress pics as realistically in 3 weeks, not much can be achieved, especially in terms of muscle gain.
i make it 11.6% on callipers though there is always the chance they are wrong they didnt cost a lot, i thought i was higher than 11% in the pic maybe see if anyone else has any as well to double check it with them.
yeah ok how often would you recomend? maybe monthly?
thanks for the comments![]()
What does it matter whether or not you know what bf% you are though? I assume you're training for aesthetics (to look good)? So whether you think you are 11% or 15%, it won't make a difference, you'll still look the same. Judge your progress by the mirror. Just something to think about.
