hi new to the site, first set of pics where about 6 months ago where i did alot of heavy working out 100kgs on the bench and 120kgs squatting to name a couple, my cardio was non existent hence why the body fat was so high.

i went to sea (engineer in the merchant navy) for 3 months lost some weight and mussel which was no surprise as working in 40C heats every day soon starts to come off.

im now back (since aug) and now doing 3 times a week regular swim as well as the gym also 3 times a week. Hopefully you'll agree there all big changes then from earlier on in the year, but if im honest im struggling to conquer the stomach.

im looking for ideas on my diet i do eat alot of carbs (bread potatoes chips, pies) its what ever is in the freezer. so looking for good lean food (not horse meat etc)

    thanks guys

Carbs aren't the problem, what is the problem is your calorie in vs out. What would be useful right now is your current daily diet, doesn't matter if its exact just as long as its mostly accurate.

You can lose the weight without the swimming if your diet is aimed towards weight loss.

Nice changes. Even more importantly, you've learnt to wear trousers if you boxers aren't done up

    Anyway, what Asauka said.

If you want food ideas, read the diet forum, or any of the training logs. Or even better, work out a diet plan, and see what foods fit into it.

That 1st pic mate is almost X-rated!

The pie, fish and curry you mention. Are these home made or convience meals?

I would recommend to start by putting you diet into a website like foodfocus or fit dat to find out total calories and the p/c/f split.

Then you can work on reducing cals.
From a health point of view, it would be better to to not eat processed foods and try to eat whole foods. But for pure weight loss you just nee to eat less calories than your maintainance.

ps cardio is not needed for fat loss. Many people here dont do any cardio either, including myself.

Training logs are a good idea HOWEVER remember that whole diets are based on individual needs, responses and preferences to diets. Can use a journal to get ideas for food choices but don't go copying another diet.

Edit: not speaking against you here, your post just reminded me of what I've seen time and time again
