    No real reason you can't ditch them (unless you do high volume lifting or heavy sports training), weight sessions need not be overly glycogen draining, optimal replenishment can easily be obtained via protein, and rest, alone.

    I do some serious heavy lifting, despite not showing it by my size lol. If I train all week without carbs and then carb up on the weekends - I look twice the size by monday - shuttling them nutrients and getting them insulin spikes over the weekend does my muscles good... just doesn't do my energy levels any good.
