    Hi,

First time picture poster so pls be gentle

I'd really appreciate any feedback - any obvious imbalances? areas that need work, etc?

I guess I'm more going for the physique / cover model look rather than pure size.

Sorry for the poor quality and lack of back/legs ( I do train these but was pushed for time to take them in the baby changing room at the local gym!!)

    Any estimates on body fat?

    Cheers
    Nick

Looking good actually, I have no idea with BF%, I am useless at it. Arms are looking pretty tough, maybe add some forearm exercises to get them more vascular and mean-looking to match your brachium. Like I said though - you got a great physique and keep hitting that chest to keep up with your shoulders and back.

Spooky...forearms were the first thing that came to my head too...but actually you look in decent shape. Basics are there, maybe just lean up a bit? And some pecs?

    Many thanks for the replies.

I totally agree re the forearms and pecs (especially upper). Until 3 months ago I never trained arms, I focussed on the primary compund moves so I think my arms got left behind a bit.

I've included hammer curls and cross body hammer curls so hopefully they'll being the forearms up.

My chest never responded well to the flat bench so I've moved more to dumbbell presses now and hit the chest on the smith machine so I can really feel the contraction and can isolate the pecs better.

I'm trying to drop the body fat further, and have in the last 3 months adopted an IF eating style. I find the last couple of % of body fat are a real pain to lose!!!

    Stats are: Age = 41, Height 5' 11", Weight 87kg

    Cheers

Your arms aren't lacking - they look pretty buff to be honest, just thought the forearms needed a bit more vascularity to match. The chest is fine, just needs to keep up with the shoulders and back - try some cable crossovers to learn how to isolate the chest properly, watch the muscle for contractions when you perform chest exercises.

Try lots of green tea during your fasting periods and hit a caffeine pill in IF if you haven't already.

Thanks - will try the cable crossovers, on other muscle groups I seem to have benefited where I can really feel the contraction in the target muscle.

I currently take MP's caffeine pills pre-workour (one 200mg) and a strong coffee. My overall daily coffee consumption is quite high so it won't hurt to switch over a bit to Green Tea.

I've got a Trixter bike in the house, so will try and get in some extra cardio sessions.

im going to estimate around 16/17 % BF
thats purely based on what my bodyfat calipers say I am. Your just holding a bit round the lower abs which is the same issue ive got.

Other than that looking good id say chest could do with a little work but you have said your already addressing that. arms look fine to me

I'd say you're around 13-14% bodyfat and looking in good shape.

When you eat the foods your body is made for (Paleo foods) in a framework that your body is made for (feast-fast, such as IF), it all works beautifully.

Thanks, I'm hoping I'm a bit less than 16%. I think I've got thick obliques so having the broader waist gives the impression of more size. Not sure if this is genetics or the result of deads and squats!!!

    Thanks Gareth,

I work in the city so am popping in for a BodPod BF measurement this week. Will post the results.

Here's a couple of pics from this week. I doubt much change given the short interval between.
