Over the past year I've gone from 20% body fat to lingering around the 12% mark, recently ive started intermittent fasting and a higher protein/fat diet to get knock off a few more %, I'm currently around the 9-10% mark, and would very much like to get to below 7%,

Good job mate. Out of interest, why would you want to go thinner? You look good as you are.

I'll be honest Alex - i think you should focus on putting on some muscle rather than losing more weight.

Part of the problem you might have is you dont have enough muscle mass to show through under the little fat you have, and thus get the appearance you are after.

Yeah I've been thinking that as well, every time I start upping my calories I get paranoid about storing fat (even though I know realistically that most of the weight gained in the first week or so is water).
For instance, I started upping my calories last thursday, I weighed 127pounds, today I weighed myself and am now 133pounds, I know that most of this would be water but the idea of putting on fat is a bit of a phobia for me.

nealo, intermittent fasting is fasting for 16 hours of the day and then eating during a feeding window of 8 hours, usually from 1pm-9pm. Check out James' training journal at James' Big Fat Training Log for a better look at it.

I've also stopped IF for the time being, until I can sort out my job & what my goals are, muscle gain is definitely where I want to go, so for now I'm not so focused on getting to 7% bodyfat :P

I would have to agree with hailtotheking, You got your BF% pretty low so why not go for a bit more size and check the results you get.

You do have to stuff you face, just take your time with it. Im sure a bit of a read on James log with give you an idea of how you can do this while butting on as little fat as possible.

Try using the CKD diet, using intermittent fasting as well.

I would personally eat like a horse, really low carbs between 12pm-8pm only all through the week and then on the weekends rest from bodybuilding and up the carbs and drop the fat, keeping protein high still. You should get some nice lean gains and after, we can help you cut it all off again.

EAT EAT EAT and LIFT LIFT LIFT. Don't worry about fat until you pack on some size (I don't think fat will pile on with CKD and IF.)

You won't like me saying this but you strike me as a little 'skinny' so losing more weight I would suggest is a bad idea. I think a little more bulk would lend itself very well to an already lean physique.

A CKD bulking diet would do the trick with some insane lifting. Try to hit the weights monday-friday while eating low carb and then rest on the weekend while stuffing your face with carbs.

In 4 months of this, post your pictures and see how different we react
