These were some time last summertime, before I quit smoking and had a serious training routine, not pretty !
(you need to stick the http in first to link them)

And these were today, please forgive the quality I've only got a cheap mini digicam that needs to be attached to the pc while I use it ,so getting good lighting is difficult.the second and third are with a bit of skin gel on that I use for dry skin but I thought it might improve the lighting effect on my body,I'm not happy with my midrift yet as stated in another thread but ,I guess I just need to persevere and be patient:

If anyone could give tips or advice that'd great,I've not got a great indepth knowledge of BB but I'm trying,so far I've not been so called cutting or bulking I've just been eating healthy ,jogging and training .Do you think I should be looking at concentrating on bulking up or cutting down.?It's a bit of a cliched question when someone posts pics but anyone hazard a guess at my body fat?

    thanks

First of all well done mate, though the pics are poor quality it does look like you've made some very good progress there

As for bodyfat I'm not sure, so difficult to tell, I'd say around 17%-ish.

    Age/ height/ weight?

Can't advise you on wether you should cut or bulk, it's totally upto you and what your goals are. Maybe you should do some strength training until about Jan-Feb then go on a cut giving you plenty of time to lose the fat for summer?

Good stuff! You've shed a ton of fat already.

And if you want an accurate bodyfat reading from a picture, you need to be holding a shoe.

    Thanks guys

    Bison I'm 33, 5'9 and 13 stone
I think I'll carry on just doing general workouts as i do now then concentrate on getting my abs back for summer. My goals are nothing ambitious really, just to stack some more muscle on ,especially biceps and delts and traps and just get rid of the excess round my gut,the abs are there,I can feel them ,damn solid, there just hiding

Castwallon, my routine is half way down my opening thread - Here
I was doing close to max weights on all exercises and repping out 5 in sets of 4,but TBH my form was pretty poor on a lot of the exercises so now I've increased my reps to 7 but on the exercises my form was poor on,I took a little weight off.I've also been doing 4 days a week but increased this week with doing a general workout on Saturday, doing all major muscle groups,so now I do 5 days a week with Weds and Sun for rest.Usually during training I'll finish my last set with going to failure, but sometimes I push it til I'm almost passing out.I've improved my bench at least 25lbs since I started in summer. The biggest problem with my home gym routine is legs, the max weight on leg exercises is(I think) 150ish lbs,so obviously there's not enough weight to give good workout on some exercises.

CosmicFish,You sure ? Someone else told me it had to be specially imported teapot thats been hand crafted in the Turks & Caicos Islands

Well you're obviously doing something right

If you think your biceps are lacking then I'd highly recommend you introduce close-grip, palms in pull-ups to your routine, they're the daddy of bicep builders imho. For traps I don't do anything specific like shrugs, etc I just do deadlifts and they seem to build them up very well.
