    Yup, been diving for years. As for which organisation. It depends if you wish to learn quickly (PADI) or through a club based system (BSAC).

    Advantage of PADI is you can learn in several days (at a cost). However this does not count for experience. Its fine being told what to do and doing a couple of open water dives. But only experience will really suffice.

    Advantage of BSAC is that you'll be a member of a club with (hopefully) club organised events. You'll get to know like minded people, have regular dive buddies. As an example this is my old club : http://hometown.aol.co.uk/Followsm/index.html
