    Well done jimbo, that's one hell of an achievement!

    I'm not up to scratch on powerlifting competitions but how is he in the 'junior' category...i thought he was about a year younger than me or something?

    Junior is usually 21 and under isn't it?

    Or is powerlifting different because most men have to be about 30 and fat before they start getting strong?

    Junior is 23 and under in powerlifting for the reasons you mention, you peak in strength in your mid 30's normally, or even later!

    Even if it isn't your thing it's always pleasing when someone achieves their targets and gives others the encouragement to go after theirs.

    Is it usual in PL comps for the squat to be larger than the DL? Seems most peeps on here it is the other way round. Is it something to do with the vagaries of the comp structure?
