Quite a while ago now, on impulse, I bought one of these for about £15 from Tesco:

And have been using it ever since. It is only a layer of memory foam over a firmer standard foam core but it is absolutely the most comfortable pillow I have ever slept on. Definitely eliminates stiff neck and headaches in the morning.

Now, I have to admit, I have taken advantage of Roseby's demise by buying, today, a SilentNight memory foam mattress topper (double size) for £49.99 in their closing down sale (if I'd have hung on it may have been reduced further but they only seemed to have the one in stock so didn't want to risk losing it!).

I've put it on the bed and tried it out - feels really comfortable considering it is barely a couple of inches in thickness. Can't wait to give it a real 'road test' tonight!

I think I got a bargain as the going rate seems to be around £110-£129 at Kaleidoscope/Argos for a double sized one.

I bought the Dunelm Latex pillow, not really a fan of it to be honest

After a few nights sleep on the memory foam mattress topper (and contour pillow) I can say they were well worth the purchase price - they are among the best nights' sleep I've ever had! No stiff neck or cricked back, etc.
