I'm not saying you did offer any advice, although threads like this have been getting locked including my last thread on corns ha ha, even though there wasn't advice given out.

Corns, slipped discs etc. you can see where it's going...

Thats all i understand the rules etc but was just wondering if anyone had heard of, friend, family, used the tamars treatment?

If not thanks for replying everyone!!

I agree. Which is why I said that I would personally not lock it if the discussion did not stray from that. Unfortunately I hadn't heard of this alternative therapy until you posted the information on it.

To be honest I am equally suspicious of alternative therapy/therapists when they claim a) they can definitely cure you and b) it will take several treatments (at high cost, no doubt!).

Though I agree with you that the medical response has been somewhat bleak!

All I can say is that I had a prolapsed disc, which often bulged out onto my sciatic nerve. I had a GP treat it conventionally with painkillers and anti-inflammatories but he warned me it would always be a recurrent problem. Which it was - sometimes extremely debilitating (one could say virtually disabling). However, touch wood, I have been clear for the last two and a half years by modifying my diet alone.

Thanks NU yeh i really understand what you are saying, the cost is not much difference of that of a good physio for an hour so i will find out tomorrow and will let everyone know how i got on

even sitting typing this is giving me great discomfort, so anything is worth a try esp when all around are telling me different
    Thanks for replies everyone

right oh i said i would come back and let anyone know that was interested how i got on with my tamars treatment,

Went on thur and had a session for an hour physio told me that no problem they would fix me in 4-6 sessions

said my back was pretty bad (have my mri results not sure if i can post up the results in detail) (mod???) but he has fixed far far worse

he said i would be sore and tender on fri poss sat and i was!! he concentrated on my sciatica pain in my legs groin and feet and lower back for 30 to 40 min and i can safely say no pain wat so ever have i had since thur morning where i thought my right leg was going to fall off and my lower back pain while not gone like the sciatica pain is greatly reduced

For me this is a great step in the right direction as i have had the sciatica pain for 5 months now and after one session for it to be gone is great

Now this is not me sorted completely so my next session is this thur and will up date on how i get on

had the tamars quite strange but you could actually feel it working your spine while you lay on the bench, most of my lower back pain has gone, given it has only been a few days and could come back! hopefully not though!

He seemed very very confident fella with stories of fixing people with years and years of back pain

as i was waiting a lad not much older than myself was on his 4th treatment hurt himself somehow didn ask and had nothing but good things to say about it and had been told to come by his brothers mate who had slipped discs and was back playing rugby after 6 sessions!

    All good so far

That's very interesting, shortstuff. Glad to hear it is going well so far. By all means keep us updated as to how your treatment progresses. I hope you make a full recovery by the end of it.

Right just an update on how i got on with the tamars treatment, after about 10 treatments i am almost cured my back pain has gone lower back pain gone siatic pain in my legs feet balls gone, neck pain almost gone every now and then get the odd pins and needles,

So all in all it was a success and worth every penny from no doctor being able to do anything for me from not being able to lift my shoes with out being in pain to being back at work lifting heavy fire rated doors so all is good,

still however get the very very odd twinge in my back but streching every morning should sort that out.

been working away from home so havn been on the site in ages, but starting back in the gym now on monday almost 10 months after my injury been long but itching to get back!!!
