  1. Default Mobile handset with GPS

    Sorry for the horribly boring and repetative question...

    Apparently I'm due an upgrade on my handset. I heard that some phones have GPS, but based on half an hour spent on google it seems I'm useless at finding out about this sort of thing. What I want in a phone is GPS and a half way decent camera. I don't particularly care if it plays the radio or anything. I'm with 3, incase that makes any difference.

    Can anyone help? I've had phone companies offering me upgrades for months but every time I talk to them I get so frustrated I just put it off, but now my current hand set's starting to break down and it looks like it would solve a lot of problems if I got rid of it.

    Any links to specific handsets or advise in general would be much appreciated.

    Go for a Nokia 6220, they have a great gps system and if you go with o2 I you get the first three months free and the in car kit for free aswell!

    Best off looking at something in the nokia n series, they all come with gps as standard and at least a 3meg camera, the n95 seems to be the pick of the bunch. Plus 3 do loads of deals for it

    Don't get an iphone (like what I did). The GPS is clear enough but your battery lasts about ten minutes. The camera is rubbish too!!

    Cheers, Wotan. Since I have an ipod I can't get an iphone anyway without being accused of collectine fashionable i-products like some sort of personal statement. If I'm honest I thought the iphone was a bit of a rubbish concept for various reasons when it was first released and I hadn't even considered getting one.

    Some sort of vague impression that you can only get them from one provider or something, as well?

    ha ha, you should be re-named iduncan.

    Yeah I think there offically locked to o2 but like dope says, nowts impossible.

    Personlly i'd go for the 6220, just remmebered, my Dad has got the n95 and has sent it back to 3 four times in the last 6months as it stops working. 3 deserve credit though as he has either had it back or given a replacement within 4 days each time.
