    American fast food chain Burger King is marketing a men's fragrance with the scent of meat.

    Called Flame, the company says the spray is "the scent of seduction with a hint of flame-broiled meat".

    The scent is on sale in New York for $3.99 (£2.65) and through a website that features a variety of romantic images - but no actual burgers.

    Its character the Burger King is also seen reclining almost naked in front of a log fire with whipped cream.

    I saw this on the bbc news programme yesterday morning. They were interviewing shoppers, and on being asked if she'd fancy a guy who smelt of meat, she responded, if he smelt of meat? yeah, I'd love that!

    They've stolen my idea! :O now I'll never be able to sell my 'rotting carcass deodorant! hehe I'm joking of course.

    I like others think this should be a joke, unfortunately it probably isn't. As long as it's a really subtle smell I doubt it'll be that bad. I actually don't really like the smell of deodorants after shaves and what not so it can't be any worse.

    I'm confused. I already smell of meat. Admittedly not cooked meat, but still meat.

    I think a better approach would be a scent that makes you smell of freshly baked bread. Now that would definitely get the girls (or guys) wanting to get closer to you!

    Well, so your pre-conceived image of 'ripped caveman' isn't entirely shattered i will admit that i don't wear any sort of anti-perspirant and have made some of my own fragrances, largely to avoid a lot of rubbish that goes in most stuff, as it's going on my skin.

    I have messed around with such things as myrrh, vanilla, cinnamon, orange oil, lavender, mint and wild atlantic rose petals (collected myself)

    Using vodka as a solvent of course!
