Sauna and soap.
Or lie in a hot bath for an hour, with soap.
Apparently I have, yes you guessed it, blocked sweat pores which is causing me extreme discomfort especially when getting any kind of exercise. I've been told a way to 'open' them up again would be to sleep in a room with both a strong heater and a humidifier, of which I have none. Got any ideas other than my 'intense week of cardio' plan, cause that's not sounding like much fun right now.

Hot bath's a good suggestion. In place of a humidifier, keep a kettle boiling in a room for a while until te humidity increases noticably. For a heater, if you're really stuck your oven would suffice, though it may be expensive.

Have you had this problem medically diagnosed? You say it causes you extreme discomfort especially during exercise which makes it sound like a condition called miliaria rubra.
If you haven't seen a GP about this and it can't be fixed with the suggestions already offered, I'd certainly see your GP.
In any event some form of mild exfoliation while bathing may be a good idea as is avoiding antiperspirant deodorants, which contain chemicals that block pores.

There's some crystal types of antiperspirants you can get from places such as Holland and Barret.
They don't stop you from sweating, but they do actually work in stopping your sweat from reeking.
They don't block pores either.
I'll try that and thanks for your reply Caveman. By Soap do you mean wash heavily with it or the less obvious stick a bar in the water?
No it hasn't actually been diagnosed, I was about to make an appointment with my GP to get it checked when I was lucky enough to actually mention it to somebody who had the exact same problems, so I merely assumed. It seems really stupid to go on somebody other than a professionals opinion but she had the symptoms down to the letter so I trusted her, a lot more than my GP in any case.
I know where you are coming from with regard to GPs. But it is always inadvisable to base a diagnosis or treatment by referring to someone else's identical symptoms. I would go ahead and make the appointment and at least get a diagnosis. It may be nothing at all. It may be what I thought it was. Or it may be something completely different. Once you know you may be better placed to decide what to do about it!

I never got them but my training mates did. We called them "blebbies". The exfoliation gloves are a good idea and they do really work - but dont go mad with them. You might not realise it but they are VERY effective and 30 seconds of vigorous soaping with them in a hot bath will result in a hide that looks like Reggie Kray used a blow torch on it.
Ten seconds of gentle-ish treatment is probably more than enough.
