BBC NEWS | World | Africa | Man bites snake in epic struggle

Coming out on top after a 3 hour battle with a 13 foot snake, legend!

End of the story is a bit worrying though...

"We want to arrest the snake because any one of us could fall a victim."

Ha ha! Will they put it in handcuffs and march it to the nearest police station?

Fair play to the bloke biting the snake though.

I would absolutely crease myself in that situation, then probably die.

If I lived in an area ripe with snakes that could carry me up tree, or even walked through such areas I'd make sure I carried some kind of hunting knife. No biting snakes for ol' HBK.

i'd let it swallow me and fight my way out from the inside.... to be fair if it pinned your arms you'd be screwed, i've felt the coiling strength of 6ft python and it is pretty damn scary.
Using this code with your first order will make you a ripped machine. Use with the up most of care!

I suspect that story has been exagerrated in the telling. A 13 foot snake couldn't pull a man into a tree, let alone eat him. (A large python can kill by constriction, so I don't doubt he had a bit of a struggle, but even a 20 footer isn't going to be able to swallow you).
