Basically I cant grow Facial hair, well I can but its not spread out as much as a stubble would be o cheeks etc. I can grow a good texture of roughness on my chin but that texture only lasts for 1 day, then it turns to "bum fluff" so to speak as in teenage facial hair. Im 22 years old, and my older brothers and father all grew facial hair in their early teens.

I may add that my twin brother has the exact same problem which has drawn me to the conclusion that it makes sense thats our genes were split so to speak? henc why its taking us both so long to grow a decent stubble, never mind beard. As far as i know my diet is in shake, my hormones are ok, however im planning on getting a blood test to confirm any lack of minerals or hormones etc.

I find this issue to be very important, as i said im 22 hitting 23 and cant even grow decent looking facial hair, i know i would suit a stubble or even a beard but just cant get the opportunity to have them. To be honest I dont want to wait until im 26-27 before i can do this, its just absurd. Therefore is anyone having the same problems? as i heard taking vitamin e twice a day can help hair growth in new areas of the face etc, but i take milk, peanut butter etc, so i think i dont need vit e, other than this i may add that my hair on the head grows like wild fire, and i have the hairest legs ever, and no a single hair on my chest, abs or back region. Its almost contradictory

I reckon it's just the luck or un-luck (?) of the draw mate.
My 2-brothers & I are half-chinese, both brothers have very sparse stubble (individual hairs are not fluffy - they're normal hair thickenss/strength) but the hairs are slow-growing & very, very few on the face - mainly on the bottom of their chins. Both only shave maybe 2-3x per week.

Me.... twice a day (only joking!!! )

Well i can tell you it certainly isn't that, genetics does not work like that in any way whatsoever.

It is however down to genetics and endocrine levels (a low level of facial hair does not necc mean a low level of health/testosterone or anything like that however)
Did your dad or men on your mums side have difficulty growing facial hair?

DHT is a factor in facial and body hair growth, it is a potent androgen and low conversion of test into DHT can mean low facial/body hair but not low testosterone.

I can grow a 'beard' in about 2 days, if i leave it for 2 months i look like a caveman and i've been able to grow a beard since i was 15 but i'm losing the hair on my head now.....with a low level of facial hair you are unlikely to get this problem i do!

As far as im aware my mum and dads side of the family are pretty much more than ok with their facial hair, all have it now to a more than reasonable level i would say. Would a blood test bring up any thing im lacking or have a defiency in? such as test

I mean the way I look at it is, im a man I should be able to grow a facial hair when i please, yea sometimes it could be a fortune in blades etc but i know that it can enhance appearence alot, which is what im after, I dont want to have a baby face at 30 years old.
